Final: Another title of Champions for Afghanistan Cricket Team

Some years back, one would hardly think that a team will came out from a country where war dominated for many years, and the same team will dominate associate level of cricket in all format. Afghanistan is currently the champion of associate teams whom winning record against teams like Ireland and Nether-land is nearly 100%.
As expected in the Asia Cricket Council T20 Cup 2011, The Afghan Warriors won the crunch final by 5 runs and owned the title of Champions in Asia Cricket Council T20 Cup 2011.

The Afghan Cricket Team has not a good start in batting and lost their 4 major players on 24 runs. Batsmen were struggling against Hong Kong bowlers but it was Gulbodin Naib who stood at the wicket from other end. He scored 57 runs on 50 balls including two 4's and five 6's. Later on Mohammad Nabi added 29 important runs to the total from 19 balls; Nabi inning including 2 big sixes.Hamid Hassan was the last batsman who was bowled by Munir Dar on first ball of the Hassan inning. Afghanistan were bowled out on125 runs in 20.0 overs.

In reply Hong Kong start was not good either, the chaser team lost the 1st wicket on 4 runs. The upcoming 3 batsmen did well in chasing the target and built small but useful partnership. Till 12.0 overs, the match was totally in control of Hong Kong Cricket Team, Dawlat Zadran had a different approach in his mind to go back country with a victory. So as he bowled the Kruger on 17 from first ball of his over and lit the candle of hope for Afghanistan team. From there, the chaser team wickets start falling, Hong Kong team were bowled out on 117 runs in 19.2 overs. Nadeem Ahmed was the last batsman run out on 2 runs.

Hamid Hassan was the pick up the bowler who took 3 wickets, interestingly his wickets include clean bowled. Hamid Hassan for his magic spell (3/12 in 4.0 overs) was give man of the match award while the loser side player Munir Dar was given man of the series award.
