BCCI announced the squad of India cricket team for test series against Australia.Left arm fast bowler Zaheer khan selection is concerned with his fitness. On the other side, fast bowler Parveen Kumar who get injured in series against West Indies is excluded from the squad. His replacement will be made on 5 December.
According to BCCI honorary secretary Sanjay Jagdale. "He is expected to recover in 5-6 weeks, and has therefore been ruled out of the ODI series against the West Indies, as well as the Test series in Australia that follows". He added; "His replacement for the Australia tour will be named on 5 December 2011, when the selectors meet in Ahmedabad to pick the Indian team for the last two ODIs against the West Indies."
India will tour to Australia in the mid of December, Dhoni who was given rest in ODI series against West Indies will lead the side, while the aggressive opener Virender Sehwag was selected as the vice captain of the side.
