ACB has announced the following 16-men squad for the ODI match against Pakistan on Feb 10, 2012 at Sharjah, UAE. The match will be broadcasted live on TEN Cricket. PTV Sports and Shamshad TV.
Afghanistan have played a total of 18 ODI matches with 11 wins and 7 losses, while they have played 2 ODI matches at Sharjah, both against Canada, with one loss and one victory. This is going to be Afghanistan's first ODI match against a Full Member nation of the ICC since getting ODI status in 2009.
The match is going to be played at Sharjah, which is home to thousands of Pashtuns from both Afghanistan and Pakistan and it's also the home ground of the Afghan cricket team, because foreign teams don't prefer to go Afghanistan due to security reasons. It's expected that it will be a full house on 10th of February.
