Bangladesh received threats over Pakistan tour

Bangladesh's Deputy High Commissioner in Pakistan has revealed that they were recieving threatning email and messages after their Board decided to send its country's cricket team to play One Day International and T20 in Pakistan. According to a news channel Bangladesh's Rohal Alam Siddiqui has claimed that the tour of Pakistan have been cancelled after feeling security issues there in Pakistan.

Siddiqui qouted that "we have received threat in the form email, messages and letters against the Pakistan tour and that is why our court has decided not to send our team to Pakistan but we are being positive hoping for Pakistan tours in future". He said that the news of threats were confirmed by the authorities of Bangladesh.

The Bangladesh cricket board has conveyed this message to Pakistan cricket board that they are not sending their players to Pakistan after hearing the decision of Dhaka High Court in which some senior players of Bangladesh filed a petition against the decision of board for sending team as their were security reason concerned.

The PCB has not taken kindly to the tour being postponed indefinitely since Bangladesh would have become the first Test playing nation to tour Pakistan since March, 2009 when terrorists attacked the Sri Lankan team in Lahore and killed six policemen and a van driver. Some of the visiting players were also wounded in the attack.
