Gambhir leads from the front as Kolkata crushed Bangalore

Kolkata Knight Riders 190 for 4 (Gambhir 93, McCullum 43) beat Royal Challengers Bangalore 143 for 6 (Gayle 86) by 48 runs

It was Gambhir and Company all over in the field against Bangalore in their ninth match and fifth at there home ground Eden Garden Kolkata. This time it was totally good track for batsman unlike the others matches played here at Eden. Gambhir after winning the toss decided to bat first and his decision proved worthy when he with New Zealand blaster McCullum started very firmly for Kolkata Knight Riders.

They both played a very accelerated innings McCullum was slow earlier but Gambhir from very first bowl was decided to dominate on the bowlers and he did succeed in it . As we all know that fortune favors the brave and that's why Gautam gambhir was among luck today. He was dropped twice in the field today and make Bangalore pay for this. He batted with his full aggression today and scored (93) in 51 balls including 9 fours and 5 huge sixes.

He involved in 95 runs partnership with McCullum(43) and then 80 runs partnership with Jack Kallis(41) to put  up a descent total of 190-4. While nothing was good for RCB as they have failed in every department whether it is bowling or fielding. Every bowler was failed to make his impact on the field just Vettori was the economical of all and taken 1-29.

While chasing the mammoth total of 191 runs RCB has to be accelerate their innings from the beginning but they were failed in it and Yousuf Pathan give RCB first blow in the form of Dilshan. Then Kohli and AB Devilliers also went out cheaply and Gayle was also so lazy in the beginnings. Gayle in the end of the innings showed some good hands but it was too late for the visitors and host make their lead 2-0 against RCB in this edition of IPL-5.

In the bowling department Sunil Narine was awesome with the ball once again just 1-11 in his 4 overs while Yousuf Pathan was also economical this time just 1-19 in his four. Kallis also took 2 wickets. And at the end it was considered as very easy win for Knight Readers by virtue of this win they maintained their position to 2nd in the group table while Bangalore is at the 4th on the table.

Man Of The Match was undoubtedly given to Captain Gautam Gambhir for his well made fast 93 runs.
